Political & Public Affairs Officer

Reporting to the Head of Purpose, you will support their political and public affairs efforts through providing administrative, communications and strategic support for a trade alliance that they lead; support the development and delivery of their political campaigning work internationally; and own and manage research projects.
They are looking for:
- Good working knowledge of the UK parliamentary procedure and politics – and the EU if possible.
- Experience undertaking research and working with data, facts and figures to build compelling arguments.
- Excellent written and communications skills with experience of running social media accounts or maintaining websites;
- Experience of forming and maintaining good working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, (Press NGO’s, Civil servants, Politicians)
You’ll already be passionate about the environment and sustainability with the ability to work independently as part of a wider team. If you have cross-cultural experience that would be an advantage too.
The role is based in Northampton, with the opportunity for some remote working.
